Behavioral Health Services

Stepping Stones offers hope and healing to individuals and families in need.

Adult Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Group

Dialectical Behavior Therapy or DBT is a talk therapy that helps individuals understand and manage intense emotions and difficult feelings. Stepping Stones offers adult skills groups limited to 12 participants per group. Anyone in the Lincoln area can participate with a referral from an active counselor who is also in the community.

Stephanie McNichols, LIMHP, LADC, PC, is trained in DBT. To refer to the Group, send a referral with the name, insurance, diagnosis, client name, and therapist contact information, as well as a brief reason for referral to smcnichols@lmep.com.

Outpatient Counseling and Treatment

Mental health encompasses psychological, emotional, and social well-being. For individuals and families struggling with mental health issues, substance use, and co-occurring mental health needs, Stepping Stones offers counseling in a safe and welcoming environment, and to adults and children depending on the services needed.

Our therapists and counselors are fully licensed and specialize in evidence-based, behavioral health treatment for a wide variety of conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. We provide integrated behavioral healthcare, working in conjunction with primary medical care and psychiatric referral (off-site) when necessary, to effectively assist our clients in achieving their goals. Substance Abuse Services

We understand the importance of early intervention and can perform alcohol and drug evaluations and counseling for ages 13 and older. This evaluation will establish whether alcohol or other drugs are a problem. If so, we will provide recommendations and referrals for treatment. We also provide outpatient counseling services by appointment and will work with you to accommodate your scheduling needs. Learn more
