Stephanie J. McNichols, LIMHP, LADC, PC

Stephanie is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her Master’s in Counseling from Doane University in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

While waiting to be accepted to law school to become a women’s rights lawyer, Stephanie took a job with Child Protective Services. She worked with second generations of families and felt there had to be a better way to help. That’s when she knew she wanted a career in mental health. 

As a Mental Health Practitioner, Stephanie meets individuals where they are at in their life, providing services to adults as well as older teens. She specializes in Dual-Diagnosis Therapy, working with people who struggle with both mental health and substance use. She feels that substance use is usually triggered by something and that working with both conditions allows her to help her clients in the best way possible.

  • Clinical Supervision and Licensed Supervisors

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Dialetical Behavior Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Reality Therapy

Stephanie also has experience working with individuals involved with the criminal justice system.

Stephanie calls Wilcox, Nebraska her hometown. She and her husband have three children who are very active in sports. As a family, they enjoy spending time together outside, playing board games, and having movie nights. Stephanie likes working out and finished her first half marathon in 2023. She is a big fan of Husker football and volleyball, and Vikings football.
